What’s the deal with salt soap?
Sea salt known for its detoxifying properties, gently exfoliates the skin removing dead skin cells and impurities. Its high mineral content, including magnesium, calcium, and potassium, can help to balance oil production and maintain a moisturized skin barrier.
Does it clean you as well as regular soap?
Coconut oil, making up around 80% of the base, creates a rich, bubbly lather that effectively removes dirt and excess oils. It is also antimicrobial and rich in antioxidants, helping to keep your skin smooth, clean and protected.
Will it dry out my skin?
Shea butter rich in fatty acids deeply hydrates and soothes, helping to offset the strong cleansing effects of coconut oil. Shea butter supports skin elasticity and forms a protective barrier, shielding the skin from future environmental stressors.
Avocado oil, abundant in oleic acid, enhances its conditioning properties, making it especially effective for softening and nourishing the skin. This monounsaturated fat also improves moisture retention and skin permeability, allowing it to penetrate deeply and deliver essential nutrients more effectively. Together, these ingredients provide a powerful combination of hydration, protection, and conditioning to support healthier, more resilient skin.
Is it exfoliating?
The bar feels distinctly different and harder than other normal bar soap. It has a rough texture and does offer a smooth exfoliation. The bar smooths out with use.
Finishing your skin off with a moisturizer or body oil after showering with a salt bar will help lock in moisture on the exfoliated skin.
Naturally scented with a frosty blend of eucalyptus, wintergreen, lavender, rosewood and Frankincense essential oils. The scent cures to a crisp, light, and minty scent.
Naturally coloured with blue indigo powder.
